Knit vs. Crochet

The ongoing drama(?) of a girl torn between two obsessions with too little time.

I'm (one of) the Best!

I know that I've let this blog fall into frightful disrepair, but my excuse (as usual) is that I've been busy with clerkships, residency interviews, and generally getting ready to blow this medical school popsicle stand.
However, as a long-time Craftster devotee I HAD to blog this--I made the Craftster "Best of 2008"!
I made little "Passports" for our save-the-date cards and they made the list! (About two thirds of the way down the above link, under "Occasions and Holidays")

It made my day!

Hi Sara! Great job!!! I saw your Craftster posting on the Boarding Pass invites also and you deserve the award! I wanted to know if you would consider doing something similar for a fellow bride going abroad once you return :) I loved the entire look and will have my wedding on an island in the Philippines. Please let me know if you would consider it. I know you're a busy gal! Thanks --

Hey Tara - thanks for the kind comments! Unfortunately I don't think I'll have the time in the near future to put together a similar invitation for you (finishing up school and starting residency), but would be more than happy to share my templates/advice on making your own--they really weren't that hard to do!

Hi Sara, I too came upon your passport std while googling ideas for my own stds. They are BEYOND AMAZING, but ofcourse I'm sure you've already been told that 100's of times. I'm not sure what your schedule looks like now, but I would LOVE to be able to hire you to do something like that for our wedding if you would consider it..Or, if you're still busy, extremely appreciate any advice/templates/tips on how to make and print my own. We're getting married in the carribean next year, and these stds would be so perfect. My email is cynthia071@aol.com. Thanks so much!!!
