Yay Smiley's!

I got lots of yarn at Smiley's for under $40! 6 skeins of Lion-Brand Cotton-Ease on the left in bright pink, and 6 skeins of Lily Elite Cotton in grass green. For some reason these bright colors just jumped out at me. The cotton-ease feels quite nice, I'm excited about it. Yarn snobs may feel free at this point to kindly BITE ME.
I also bought a big skein of Bernat light green acrylic because it looked like it matched this mystery light green acrylic I had in my stash and I could maybe make a blanket out of them. Much to my dismay, it did not, so now I have TWO un-matching giant skeins of light green acrylic.
I loved Smiley's. It's not as much of a fiber-porn store (oh, I could spend forever just fondling yarns at my LYS) but it's so big and so cheap, and the staff are friendly. Even the train trek wasn't as bad as I thought it would be--a bit over an hour each way from Manhattan, the length of my daily commute from the BK to work.
